The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
